What can I contact the Ombudsdienst Inschrijvingen for?
You can contact the Ombudsdienst Inschrijvingen (Registration Ombuds Service) with questions about an exceptional situation of a pupil to be registered in a specific school. Here, the exceptional situation applies only to the pupil in question in that school and that registration is the only way to ensure access to education.
In your opinion, did technical errors or mere mistakes occur in, before or during your child's allocation? Then you can also contact the Ombudsdienst Inschrijvingen. From the moment you detect an error, you have 15 calendar days to report it.
What can I contact the Commissie Leerlingenrechten for?
You can file a complaint with the Commissie Leerlingenrechten (Pupils' Rights Commission). Please note: A complaint is only relevant if a school refused your child and then registered another child in the same class or year.
From the moment you receive a document of unsuccessful registration, you have 30 calendar days to file a complaint with the Commissie Leerlingenrechten. You must submit your complaint in writing and sign it.
