Which children should be registered?
Starting special education for the first time
Does your child attend mainstream education now, but will they attend special education next school year? Then you can register them for the type of special education and the form of training for which your child has a report from the CLB.

From BuBaO to the first year of BuSO
Does your child already attend special elementary education now, and will they attend special secondary education next school year? Then you must re-register your child. Your child does have priority if you register them in the same campus.

Siblings of pupils and children of staff
Do you already have a child in a Dutch-speaking school in Brussels and do you want to register a sibling in the same school? Do you work at a Dutch-speaking school in Brussels? Then the procedure is the same as for other children: you must first apply for a place for your child online before you can register them. Your child has priority over other children when you apply for a place at that same school.
Changing schools
Is your child changing schools within special education ...
- at the start of a new school year? Then you must re-register your child. In schools that work with an application procedure, you must first apply for a place for your child before you can register them in a new school.
- during the school year? Then contact the new school and ask if there are still places available.
For which schools do you need to apply for a place?
BuSO schools with an application procedure
In the following schools, you must apply for a place for your child before you can register them, depending on the curriculum:
- BuSO Cardijnschool (Anderlecht)
- For the 1st year: OV3 - type basisaanbod (observation year)
- For the curriculum in OV1 and OV2
- GO! BuSO Vila'Ket (Neder-Over-Heembeek)
- For the complete curriculum
- Kasterlinden BuSO (Berchem-Sainte-Agathe)
- For the 1st year: OV2 and OV3 - type 7 taal, type 7 gehoor and type 9 ASS
- Koninklijk Instituut Woluwe (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert)
- For the 1st year: OV4 - type 9 ASS
BuSO schools without an application procedure
In the following schools you can register your child directly, depending on the curriculum:
- BuSO Cardijnschool (Anderlecht)
- For the curriculum in OV3 - type basisaanbod (except observation year)
- BuSO Cardijnschool-Inkendaal (ziekenhuisschool Jette)
- For the complete curriculum
- BuSO Ganspoel (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert)

- For the 1st year: OV1 - type 6 visus, type 7 taal and type 7 gehoor
