Registering

You applied for a place for the 1st grade A between 7 and 31 March 2022?

You will receive an e-mail or letter with all the registration details on 12 May 2022. You didn’t receive an email? Check your spam folder or make sure that you provided the correct email address. Didn't provide an e-mail address? In that case, you will be notified by post. You will also be notified via the 'Inbox' in your application file.

  1. Your child has been given a place in the school of first choice
You can register your child. Go to the school between 13 May and 7 June 2022 and register your child. If you don’t do so, you will lose the place reserved for you! Because your child can be registered in the school of first choice, he or she will no longer be listed in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th schools of choice. The child is thus no longer on a waiting list. All the information can be found on your assignment message.

  2. Your child has been given a place in the school of 2nd, 3rd, 4th... choice
You can register your child in that school. Go to the school between 13 May and 7 June 2022 and register your child. If you don’t do so, you will lose the place reserved for you!  After that, you can also have your child placed on the waiting list of the schools higher up on the list. Go to the school between 13 May and 7 June 2022 and ask for a document of unsuccessful registration to register your child on the waiting list. When a place becomes available, the school will contact you. All the information can be found on your assignment message.

  3. Your child has not been given a place
In that case, your child can be placed on the waiting list of all the school chosen. Go to the school between 13 May and 7 June 2022 and ask for a document of unsuccessful registration to register your child on the waiting list. When a place becomes available, the school will contact you.

Registering in a school for a higher grade?

Need to register your child in the 2nd grade of ASO (General Secondary Education), BSO (Vocational Secondary Education), KSO (Artistic Secondary Education) or TSO (Technical Secondary Education)? Or in a higher grade? Contact the school between 16 and 31 May 2022 and register your child. No places left? Collect the document of unsuccessful registration from the school. If you you do so, your child will be put on the school's waiting list and the school will contact you when a place does become available.

Open registrations

Are there still places left in a certain school? In that case, everyone is entitled to register for the remaining places. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Every school will be hosting a registration day on 13 June 2022 for the 1st grade A and B and on 1 June 2022 for the higher grades. Afterwards, more registrations will be taken but the schools can then set their own dates. No places left? Collect the document of unsuccessful registration from the school. If you you do so, your child will be put on the school's waiting list and the school will contact you when a place does become available.

I have a place in a school that was not my first choice.

E.g.: your child gets a place in a school you listed as option 3. Go to that school in the appointed period and register your child. Your child will automatically get an unfavourable ranking in its 1st and 2nd schools of choice. Next, you can collect a document of unsuccessful registration (weigeringsdocument) from these schools. This will give your child a place on the schools’ waiting lists and the schools will contact you when a place does become available. What if you do not collect a document of unsuccessful registration? If you fail to do so, your child's name will not be put on the waiting list and you will only be able to register your child during the open registration round, provided there are any places left.
