Schools without an application procedure

In the Dutch-speaking special education system in Brussels you can register directly at:

7 – 18 February: Priority for brothers and sisters and children of staff

Do you already have a child attending the school or do you work at the school where you wish to register your child? In that case, you have priority when registering. Children of staff are also given priority. Go to the school between 7 and 18 February 2022 and register your child.

21 March – 1 April: Priority for children with a Dutch-speaking parent

Pupils with at least one parent who is sufficiently proficient in Dutch enjoy priority when registering. This priority applies for 55% of the places. Go to the school between 21 March and 1 April 2022 and register your child.

As of 19 April: Open registrations

Are there still places available in a certain school? As of 16 April 2022, everyone can register for the available places. Go to the school and register your child.
 

How can I register my child?

Contact the school in good time. The school needs the following details for registration:

  • Child's national register number
  • The report that gives access to special education.
  • If you wish to avail yourselves of the priority given to children with a Dutch-speaking parent: the 2 documents attesting to the parents’ knowledge of Dutch. Read all about priorities here.

Did you get a place? Contact the school and register your child. Request a proof of registration. Did you not get a place? Request a document of unsuccessful registration. Your child will then be placed on the waiting list. The school will contact you when a place opens up.
